That’s exactly one of the main reasons I tend to avoid progressive metal. A lot of it feels too self-indulgent to me. I’ve never really tried to dive into Dream Theater because I’ve always perceived them as overly masturbatory prog metal. Maybe I’m wrong - but that’s honestly how they come across to me.
 
If anyone would ask me, I'd describe myself as anti-AI - particularly when it comes to creativity.

Which is exactly why I hate to admit that this has been a fun listen. I am disgusted at myself for having enjoyed this.
