Joe Stump's Tower Of Babel - Alone In The Desert

Mistheria is involved with this project. One of the best Richie Blackmore-esque solos! Kudos. The whole song is very Rainbow with Dio, class. :rocker:

Masterplan - Electric Nights

The solo, the keys melody, and the chorus vocal melody could have been used in a 90s Helloween song. The drum intro is pure Uli Kusch.

Sacred Outcry somehow slipped under my radar. This album, Towers Of Gold is full of strong power metal writing - melodies (that title track's outro), melodic vocal lines/vocals and playing (riffs, solos and instrumental parts, in every song!). Really good stuff, some classic approaches (I can hear Helloween, Maiden, Priest), the modern production fits.

Found this in a second hand store, the original album with the promotional sticker on it!
Only knew a couple of songs from it (from the Essential compilation) so I´m in for a treat.
The kid before me bought Pearl Jam´s Ten.

Edit: Allready 2d round! Unbelievable they wrote and record this in only a week. Not a weak track on it. Very different from Dirt but I quite like it!

James Dean Bradfield - Even in Exile (2020)

Second solo album by the Manic Street Preachers' singer/guitarist, a concept album about the poet and activist Victor Jara, tortured and murdered in 1973 by Pinochet's fascist regime, with lyrics by the poet and playwright Patrick Jones (Nicky Wire's older brother). The album has a bit of everything: prog, folk, alternative rock... Very different to his first solo album but great nonetheless.

Some live sessions from the promotional campaign for the album:

This guy is really talented and underappreciated.
