Elegant Weapons - Bridges Burn

New album Evolution out in April, 3 years after the debut. The cover is futuristic (not something wow) with one color as a background.

The song continues their style from the debut, I think it's weaker than their first singles. The riff is heavy rock, the verses are typical, the chorus is nicely melodic, Richie's solo is chaotic, the post-solo section sounds disjointed (the heavy riff underneath is nice and groovy). Good sound. I hope for a couple of cool songs from this release.

I don’t want to sound rude, but the newest single “Bridges Burn” by Richie Faulkner's Elegant Weapons feels like the epitome of a “going through the motions” song to me. Just… meh. Also, I don’t really like the band name Elegant Weapons. To me it carries a bit of a glam or hair - metal aura, which doesn’t really fit the band’s music at all, imo.
I also saw an interview where Richie said that Ronnie Romero has strong frontman skills. Hmm, I don’t know - I’ve gotten the opposite impression. Not that I’ve watched a lot of his live performances, but the few I’ve seen didn’t leave me particularly impressed.
