NOW PLAYING

Hmm, not my cup of tea. It feels too experimental, or maybe just too self-absorbed prog for me. In the first track I caught a brief rhythmic moment that reminded me of something from Somewhere in Time, maybe “Heaven Can Wait.” And the last song has the line: “666 is no longer alone, he’s getting out the marrow in your backbone,” so Steve was clearly influenced when he wrote his title track. The album’s lyrics are rich and evocative, no doubt - I can imagine it sparking Steve’s imagination while he sat listening to it in his room in those misty seventies.
