If I’m remembering correctly, your favorite album is Clutching at Straws. For me, their best are their first three albums. Right now I can’t narrow it down — I need to relisten. But it might be the debut album. Also, as soon as Clutching at Straws starts playing, I immediately think of Rush. I feel like that album is produced somewhat similarly to their Power Windows. Hmm, now I’m on the seventh song, and I get the overall feeling that this Marillion album is very Rush-like. I don’t know why, but I have this association in my mind.

Edit: now Power Windows is on. Yeah, CAS sounds different — I was too hot-headed about this — but I still think CAS is Rush-like.

True! Although any of the Fish albums is great.

For me, their best are their first three albums.

I´d rank them:
1. Straws
2. Childhood
3. Script
4. Fugazi

Edit: now Power Windows is on. Yeah, CAS sounds different — I was too hot-headed about this — but I still think CAS is Rush-like.

Power Windows has a much more spacey sound. But CAS gave me the overall impression of a Rush-like album.

Trying to get familiar with post-Fish era Marillion. Yesterday I listened to Seasons End and Holidays in Eden. It’s growing on me. It’s not as theatrical and more mellow, but listenable. F**k, the title track Seasons End hit me hard.

Seasons End album is great! Easter is such a beautiful melody...Seasons End song is awesome: Rothery´s solo is epic.
