I would probably say it's his second most quintessential song after "Bat Out of Hell". When I ranked all of Steinman's songs about four years ago I had it at #6, although I don't think I'd put it quite as high as that nowadays. My two favorites are still "Bat Out of Hell" and "Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are".I will boldly proclaim this song as the - if not the best, then the quintessential Jim Steinman song of all time. @Diesel 11 , wanna fight me on that account?
Black Sabbath - Shock WaveBeen on a massive Black Sabbath kick. Mostly the Ozzy stuff, really diving into the stuff after Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I never gave Never Say Die much of a shot but it's actually an okay album!
Brilliant! To me, these old farts sound GREAT in this live performance video. Maybe you don’t feel much oomph! on a PC, but watching it on a TV—you can feel the JAM. Now that’s a proper opening song. Sure, Gillan’s not in his prime, but overall—especially the rhythm and guitar section—they absolutely kick ass. This song definitely belongs in Judas Priest’s Leather & Studs category.
