Petrucci is crazy here. I'd say his technical peak was some years later but the energy in his early 90s performances is nuts.

Highlights for me in this song are from 7:27 until 8 minutes, the heavy riff and super funky backing for the keyboard solo, and the guitar solo right after 12 minutes with an amazing key change. The longer solo soon after that is what I mainly meant when I referred to his energy.

I also just plain lose interest in DT generally when there's any singing.

I don't but I get it, LaBrie isn't for everyone.
