Kalata
Out of the Silent Planet
Helloween - Salvation
I had forgotten how good and nostalgic this song was. Great melodic riff, typical working verses, pure majesty of a power metal chorus and a classy instrumental section.
The Dark Ride album, although being made when the lineup of the band and influences were in a bad place, it's an impactful album with its overall choice of a heavier approach. I find 3 or 4 of the songs weak (Mirror, Pain, Immortal), the rest of the stuff (plus one of the bonus songs) is very solid and a continuation of their 1998 sound, which was a bridge with the 2003/2005 albums, then even heavier for the next two.
