I feel like Blood & Belief is a bit ''different'' album from Blaze's first 3 (best is TD, then the debut imo). My least favorite from them, but the heavier approach is perfect for its era and could have been for the mid-90's. The approach is even darker and less melodic, a continuation of the previous album. It worked for him and he reached the peak of this style with the 2008 and 2010 albums (both very solid albums and statements from him), which could have been one album. Similar style (5 in a row), strong writing. He could have done something different (Maiden/more rock style), but his current style works best for him. It's always been interesting to me that after Maiden he has gone towards a heavier style with his solo albums.
