NOW PLAYING

Interesting playlist:

Coming Home (live). What a Reunion and live classic!
Starblind (prog gem; definitely continued the great longer approach from the previous great album)

then:

Iron Maiden - live B-sides from 1999 (some of the band's all time best performances and sound)
Sign Of The Cross (live)
The Clansman (live)
Dream Of Mirrors (live)
Ghost Of The Navigator (live)
Dance Of Death (live)
Hallowed Be Thy Name (live)

next in line:

Bruce - Resurrection Men (I like this song more and more with each listen, it's because of the groove methinks; shame it's unfinished)

:rocker:

Anguish Project - Living The World

^Roy:

One of my favorite songs! We made this album come to life with sheer will , hard work and determination! We had no label or funding, just Faith & great songs.

I wonder on how many songs Roy will guest play on the album. I feel his production here is more polished than TMP.

Why am I starting to think he's still excited about new music, but maybe for a certain music/ideas. It's clear that he enjoys producing, writing (right) and probably bass playing (wow) more than touring or recording. He didn't write anything for this band though, but let's hear his solos.

Nice playlist until you get to the Resurrection Men song. That one is an absolute turd!

It's the biggest grower for me, at first I didn't like it much. Given its structure and ideas, I'm curious what Steve could have done with the song, Maidenized and at least 1+ minute longer. The verses tempo and chorus could work for Reunion Maiden.

Not for me. A huge turd and, sadly, most of the album is not much better.

Gamma Ray - When The World

A true gem! Top 10 song! Love it. Maiden-esque & power metal. A perfect example of how to make a medium-length song. Awesome verses, pre-chorus and very catchy chorus (ofc). The real highlight is the instrumental section - the gallop with those choir vocals and the golden melodies plus fitting and good solos. :rocker:

I reckon so - he's a pretty good presenter, easy going, chatty, full of amusing anecdotes. Good company.

Track listings are published on the website, so you can see if it's your sort of thing: https://hellorayo.co.uk/planet-rock/shows/friday-night-rocks-with-blaze-bayley/ Also, of course, you can listen to the shows on catch-up - you need to be logged into the site but you don't need the paid version to listen to Blaze.

Sounds great. Thanks for the information!
