NOW PLAYING

Very funny to me, the person named riff posts about listening to a release that does in fact have some fuckin' riffs.

I am listening to this:

I haven't talked about this on here, but I saw King Diamond in Atlanta, and wow, it was spellbinding. Best show I've ever been to. It's amazing to me that 1. That's the best show I've ever seen (and it's possible that that can still happen after seeing Iron Maiden and Udo's solo band) and 2. King Diamond still sounds amazing.

This was one of those shows where I knew going in that I was a huge, HUGE KD fan. Loved most his albums, knew all the songs, etc. BUT seeing this stuff and singing along with people that love this stuff as much as I do was just awesome. Welcome Home and Invisible Guests got the biggest reaction, which is not surprising as Welcome Home broke him through into America (lets all say 'thank you MTV'). Highlights for me were Arrival/Mansion in Darkness (AND THE SHADOWS ON THE GATE.... THEY SEEMED TO BE ALIVE!!!!), Burn (They say the Devil is here tonight), Abigail (I'LL GET A PRIEST!!!!!), Eye of the Witch, Halloween (heavy as hell live, LaRocque and Wead are wizards), and of course Welcome Home.

We're repainting the front door soon!!!
