Even though I'm not a fan of some of the songs, this album is very, very solid. A perfect continuation of the Painkiller album and the Ripper era. The album has that early 2000's vibe (like Maiden's DOD) which I like. You can already feel the shaping of the sound of the next album here. Not that strong songwriting, but the playing is superb.
''Judas Rising'' and ''Deal With The Devil'' is one of their best 1-2 punch. Very effective ballad as the title track, two mid-tempo anthemic songs (''Revolution'' and ''Worth Fighting For''), ''Hellrider'' is one of their best longer songs, ''Wheels Of Fire'' feels like a filler but the musical ideas are cool, ''Demonizer'' is great speed metal song but with such a weak chorus (like some others) -> I think its pre-chorus should have been the actual chorus, the chorus can't shine (like in Maiden's No More Lies in a way). Btw, this song has one of the best Priest long solos! ''Lochness'' is at least something different and unite their new sound, Ripper era sound and their early era vibe. With its length, it also compensates for the previous intro song.
