Progressive power metal masterpiece of an album!
Manticora (Denmark) - Roots of Eternity (1999)
View attachment 14938

Haven't heard that one but if you like it do continue with Darkness With Tales To Tell (2001) and 8 Deadly Sins (2004) Also, you might wanna check out another Danish band, Mercenary with The Hours that Remain (2006) and Architect of Lies (2008) but they venture into Melodic Death quite a bit too.

I think we had this talk before. Deja-Vu.

Start hearing it. ;-)

I doubt if these other two albums can reach the level of Roots. In fact, I think I checked them, but can do again.

Mercenary with The Hours that Remain (2006)
Saw these live at ProgPower in 2006! With Textures, Scar Symmetry and a few others.

I saw them a lot on the Everblack tour (2002 - 2003?!) when the band really gained traction. The influences are pretty easy to spot - Nevermore, and classic In Flames comes to mind - but they still deliver!

"But Lancre people had never got the hang of accents and certainly didn't agree with trying to balance two dots on another letter, where they'd only roll off and cause unnecessary punctuation."
