Saw this in the local record shop today, and man, it took me back. This band was from Kansas City, often opening for bigger rock acts when they came to town, got signed to Virgin, and never really made it. But "Last Chance" is an amazing track. On a whim I looked up reviews, and saw this from Allmusic, which is about as glowing a review of a song as I've ever seen: "'Last Chance' [is] flat-out one of the finest songs ever -- kettle drums, strings, and guitars build to a crescendo that will bring tears. This song ties with 'When the Levee Breaks' as the greatest album-closer of all time. Shooting Star doesn't get enough credit." So there.
