Not sure I want to be a Maiden fan anymore

God, she thinks that her pathatic attempt at rapping is helping her prove her love for Maiden? Bullshit. Mentioning 4 songs is crap.

Well I actually watched it this time. She looks away before she mentions any song. Why is that?
Also, the chick next to her says her favorite song is Sancturay. Really? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I find it hard to believe anyone who listened to any Harris epic and calls himself a fan would have Sanctuary as their favorite. I mean, Miley just mentioned FotD.

In her defense your favorite is Prowler :innocent:

Hmm, I didn't see that newlist you got there. Still Life is a great song.

Another thing I thought of, how come she only mentions 3 names? I mean, I can name at least 20 songs by any band that I consider myself a fan of, and I can name every album by the ones I really like, by order. With Maiden, I can of course go from Prowler to WTWWB, but I don't expect a regular fan to be able to do that. I would've believed her if she named any 10 songs without pausing to think.

The opening of this thread and its title is complete over the top - Why one would stop liking a band 'cos posers use their t's?

This little twat is only using it to give an impulse on her image. I bet she doesn't even know, by heart or mind, which is the tracklist of The Number Of The Beast or Somewhere In Time.

She says she likes the band, not that she's a die-hard fan. There are people who post on this forum who don't have all of Maiden's albums or haven't heard all of their songs. And listing over 20 songs by a band would probably make for a pretty dull video. And do you need to believe she's a regular fan? Seriously, who cares?

I CARES
THE INTERENT IS SIRIOUS BUISNESS

I don't believe knowing 10 songs make you a die-hard fan. It barely makes you a fan.
And for god's sakes, she wears a Maiden shirt. I like 4 songs by Van Halen, and I won't "rock" a VH shirt.

Fucking teenage pop stars fucking destroying music.

I'm telling you, at this rate, the mainstream music will just be a single electronic note with a 12 year old shaking her ass infront of the camera.

People thought that when Debbie Gibson and Tiffany were be-boppin back in the 80's.  Pop music always seems (to me) to have been very generic, and lacking in instrumental talent.  Any musician is replaceable with another one, even some of the singers!  As long as the popular 'beat' and style is in place.

That is why, mostly, we here don't give a fuck.  We prefer music that isn't easy to make.

Haha that reminds me. I used to wear an AC/DC jacket (I hate ACDC) and people would go up to me and I would forget I was wearing it and they would say AC/DC sucks, and I would say, "yea you're right", and they would say "Then why are you wearing an AC/DC jacket?". Moral of the story, don't wear band's apparel unless you like the band.

EDIT: I don't hate AC/DC, I like the Bon Scott era. Whenever people would say they suck I would say "they are a bit overrated". AC/DC is much better than most of today's music.

I just actually read the article and I'm pissed. Is there really a news story for someone getting out of their car? That's bullshit.

Welcome to the 21st century, in the land where people actually get paid to relay such useless information to people ridiculous enough to actually care.

:whogivesafuck:

Seriously, Why does it really matter that she wears a Maiden T-Shirt? I'm in agreement with SixesAlltheway, if it even gets a couple of people into Maiden, then it's a good thing. Also, whether she listens to Maiden or not isn't going to change my opinion of her or Maiden. I'll still be listening to Maiden no matter what happens, who likes them or whatever else.

The 60's must've been nice. Even pop was decent.

No, it wasn't. Thats rose-tinted glasses talking there. Every generation has had truly terrible music, and no one talks about it because why would they remember terrible music? Sure, the Beatles were around then (among many other great bands) but the charts (or what was popular anyway) were also filled with utter rubbish just like now. The point is whether you think utter rubbish in the 60s is better to listen to (it was mostly folk music or jazz) than utter rubbish of today.

hahaha    sanctuary, running free, run to the hills    :P
theyve been through the early singles list... she was obviously looking away at wikipedia
it doesnt bother me anymore, ive seen plenty of people sporting maiden t-shirts who havent got a clue... especially since TFF because local shops are full of poor reproductions (the quality of which shouldnt be legal.)
and using their motto, any publicities good publicity.  ::)

Not sure if this has been said, but just because she wears an Iron Maiden shirt, doesn't mean she even knows Iron Maiden. People like her, have some people (designers) who tell her what to wear to look good/cool.

Were you SixesAllTheWay on the official forum?

Nah, I had a different name back when I used to frequent the official forum. I don't go there anymore.

This. There is a lot of "Miley Cyruses" at Maiden concerts today. That is why Maiden keeps playing Wratchild, Run To The Hills and Fear of The Dark. Did you notice all the people in the back on the AMOLAD tour who stood with their arms crossed when Maiden played the entire album, then made a party when Fear of The Dark came on? They are called casual fans, and Miley Cyrus is one of them and there is A LOT of casual Maiden fans at Maiden gigs. People who like the songs but haven't heard the albums over and over again like everyone here has  :innocent:

Just thought i'd get my two cents in.  I don't care enough about Miley to care that she wears a Maiden shirt.  In fact, I don't care enough about anyone save my wife and son to care about them wearing a Maiden shirt.
