Only two months after their free release of their instrumental album,  "Ghosts I-IV",  NIN released yesterday another -normal this time- album,  again available for free from the official website NIN.com

The new album title is "The Slip" and apart from Trent Reznor,  the rest of the band members (John Freese,  Robin Finck and Alessandro Cortini) will be performing in it.  The album production is by Alan Mulder and Atticus Ross.

The band's manager says:  "Trent informed me that he had new songs ready and the next thing I knew was that he had made a whole album.  It's incredible that the mixing was done by Tuesday,  mastering by Friday,  artwork on Saturday,  and on Monday everyone will be able to listen to it."

The article can be found here.  It's in Greek I'm afraid...

I can't say I'm too impressed. Some of it was pretty good, but it feels like it's just the band messing about most of the time. Still, it could be a lot worse, especially for a free album.

I'm off to listen to The Downward Spiral.
