Nico and potential involvement in RFYL tour?

I wounder if him being in Europe (he visited his store in Manchester) means he has some kind of involvement in the RFYL tour? Maybe a song or two? Maybe for a show here or there, like Glenn Tipton with Priest.

That was a while ago, I imagine he's back home in Florida by now.

I can't see him having any involvement really, he was struggling to play last year and I don't think it will have got any better.

I doubt they'd tell him "no", if he wanted to- Though if I were him, I just wouldn't.

He did mention doing something with the drummers from last years Mountbatten gig in London, so if there's any chance of him doing something it might be that.

I think there will be a Glenn Tipton-like situation where he'll make sporadic appearances at the gigs in the biggest cities - London, Paris, maybe NYC or LA next year (certainly Florida if they make a return.) Depending on the setlist and how the pacing goes in the encore, he'd make an appearance for whatever the closer is or the last two songs.

I remember a quote from Nicko that he would like to meet members of the Royal Marines band at a Iron Maiden show in England.

I found it:

Could that maybe mean there will be a Nicko guest appearance at these shows?

IM does not do these special things in their shows, they are pretty boring in this matter. If they decide to do something with nicko, will probably be at london show.

I think he'll want to play just 1 song with them at the special London show. I guess it's up to him, the band would be happy. And I imagine that would be a mixed emotion for him.

Considering the set, ''Wasted Years'' is the likely one, although he struggled with it. Fear would be the same? I guess he can still maintain Aces High's tempo.

edit: I don't think there should be comparison between them, although it's expected. The main thing is how Nicko feels about all this.

He might be brought on stage to play the maracas on
Aces High
...

I am not sure if it would be a good idea with Nicko playing one song, and then everybody comparing that performance and Simon's.
Do you think it could be possible that Nicko will come on stage to play a short drum solo, maybe before the encores?

Just seems a bad idea to me too.

I love Nicko but he can't really play to the maiden standard anymore due to health issues plus age. That sucks but that's just the way it is.

Simon is their drummer now.

He never played Wasted Years that well in the 80's to be honest haha
