It is well known that most of Maidens studio albums are named after a song on that album. Here are the exceptions.
Piece of Mind
The X Factor
Virtual XI
I was wondering what makes these albums different in that they are not named after a particular song.
I have a theory that Piece of Mind is named after Still Life as the lyrics are given,
"Nightmares... coming all the time
Nightmares... will give you peace of mind"
Reflecting on this and the knowledge that the album was originally going to be called "Food for Thought" this theory doesn't hold up.
For The X Factor I possibly think that the name is a reference to the song "Sign of the Cross" Although the bands reason for the name is that the band had a special quality at that time - the X factor.
Virtual XI is known to be named after the bands futuristic theme and the idea of XI players on a football team. There is a picture with that album of the Maiden team with famous players. But why is there no song to correspond with this album title? [!--emo&
