Name your fave three songs from the reunion era yet

I sing the praises of this being a 10/10 song and I didn't even include it in my top 3.
If the chorus had been repeated, it would have been like the ultimate Maiden song for me. I still can't believe it. Let's hope a potential next album won't have such features.

It's great to see many different lists for the most part in this thread, it shows the quality of the Reunion era.
And THIS btw is one of the main reasons I'm sure there will be one more studio album: The band themselves are pretty much aware that Senjutsu isn't the big strike, and definitely too bad (or call it weak, if that sounds less harsh) for an album to close a career like their with.
I think they think exact the opposite. One thing from me, I think the next album really needs to bring the energy of the first Reunion albums (to make a statement if you will), if they record with Simon (plus the overall long/er songs, ofc - Steve for sure will write a few longer songs on its own again), and I want them to use Bruce's BTP remixed sound.

Yes, agreed.

The opposite is the case. They clearly love the album. They debated playing the entire thing and even ended up playing 7 of the 10 songs, with three of those getting a unique realm in their LOTB tour.

Overall it turned out to be a pretty popular album.

Paschendale
Empire of the Clouds

3rd choice is not written in stone, but I'm feeling Blood Brothers today

How? What have the band done or said to suggest this?

Senjutsu isn't that bad. I find the title track and Lost in a Lost World/Death of the Celts so boring, but the rest of the album is really good, not exceptional. Hell in Earth is top tier song and Stratego is one of my fav shorter reunion songs. Not that bad overall

Blood Brothers
I just wish the orchestration was more front and centre as it sounds amazing.

Pashendale
Same with this. Blood is falling like the rain with the "brass" in the background is fantastic.

Hell on Earth
Just such an emotional and resonant song for the times we currently live in, and it only (sadly) gets more relevant by the day.

Honourable mentions: The Longest Day, The Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Book of Souls.

Not only is it one of the best of the reunion era, but one of the best songs Iron Maiden ever wrote IMO. Great structure, lyrics, and Adrian’s solo is my favorite he ever played. When the RFYL tour is over, they need to bring it back to the setlist. It’s that good. Granted there’s definitely a nostalgia element at work here. The whole Belshazzar’s Feast marketing was my first ever experience with brand new Maiden in my short fandom (became a fan in 2016-17, so I just missed the build up to TBOS).

I didn’t quite get this one at first. I had heard it maybe once or twice before my first Maiden show in 2017. In my many listens since, I realized how great this song is. I was glad it returned for LOTB ‘22, and I finally got to appreciate it live.
  • The Legacy
Great, unfortunately-still-relevant lyrics. Unique song arrangement. I love the vocal harmonies in the choruses and the last couple verses. It was hard to pick the third song, but my gut tells me this is the one.

Honorable mentions: The Book of Souls, The Wicker Man, Dance of Death
