Here I'm (again!) with my self-centred musings, this time with a list of my top favourite Metal bands of all time. As you must be already aware of my infatuation for listing out my favourite things by now, be it songs, albums or anything Maiden related, I decided to do bands ONLY from one particular genre else it would have been quite complicated to chalk out.

As usual I will be going in a countdown style and will keep updating at regular intervals. Will be looking forward to your thoughts and opinions as well. So, let's start!

#25. Ratt

For me, the lockdown period during the first wave of Covid was a time to discover some new music, specially the 80s Hard rock and Metal. That one band which made me love the sub-genre, among many was Ratt. One of the biggest and most influential bands of the decade. Their album run from 1984-90 (total five in number) is just awesome. Warren DeMartini is a great guitarist, him and Robin Crosby make a great guitar duo. Stephen Pearcy has a nice grit to his voice and although having a different range, at times he reminds of Rob Halford as well. Though my introduction to the band was through the shred-blistering "Round And Round" from their debut 'Out Of The Cellar'. My favourite record by them happens to be 'Detonator'. Their comeback, first is 1999 with a self-titled record having a slight change in sound has some cool songs on it and is underrated and finally with 'Infestation' from 2010 is really worth checking out.
