what do u guys think of my tattoo

1) It is unnecessary to write in such tall and bold letters. People here are perfectly able to read the standard font.
2) "u" is not a word, and "there" is not used in proper context. I suggest you replace them by "you" and "their".
3) It's a nice tattoo, but if everybody here opened a thread on their tattoos, then... well, I suppose we would have a few more threads [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":P\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /]


I assume it's a nice opportunity to discuss the art of tattooing. "Tattoo", if I remember correctly is a word that comes from the Dayak language of Borneo (aka Kalimantan). I see a few people get their entire chest and arms tattooed (and a few their back too), but will they ever match the whole-body tattoos of the Dayak? I also think that most people get tattoos to support their macho image, but even there, they will never reach the Dayak. Or when is the last time you brought home a severed human's head as a trophy? I would never get myself a tattoo, because I think I would regret it someday. Imagine you're 60 years old and still have your (Maiden) tattoo(s) on your leg ::

Tattoos are cool I think. I will never get one done for myself because I may end up regretting it some day (As the Trooper666 said). I also think that what Perun said about the macho image is true... Can you please stop answering inthis dumb thread? That arse probably thought he/she was on the IMBB and was lucky not to have the lot deleted (Perun's great post prevented me from doing so). Let this shit die, will you?

As Perun said, maybe this thread can be changed into a general tatto thread where everybody can share their pics? Chill out Perun and Mav. The forum has become needlesly hostile and it's a shame. And I'm not only reffering to this thread. By the way, the tattoo fucking rocks!! Exactly like the one I was thinking on having... Awsome, awsome tattoo! ::
 
In my defence, I was only pointing out formalia, as I and some other people here usually do, and I even stated that it's a nice tattoo (which it is). I tried to spice my post with humour in order to keep the whole thing friendly and non-hostile.
 
There's nothing wrong with having a thread about tattoos on this board, but the way it was started was -- to say the least -- quite clumsy. Big bold letters and bad spelling aren't exactly what this forum is about (if that's what you like, there is another forum elsewhere for that). May I be off topic (as I have no tattoo at all and not planning to get one either)?

Sometimes I read old threads, say, from 2003, that were looked up by various guests, and I marvel at the level this forum has climbed up since. From hollow, idiotic, even insulting posting to discussions that have meaning and niveau. It's a joy to be here [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /]
 
For the last time, get a bloody mod to talk to people and edit posts. That's what we do.
 
LC, I do not like seeing deliberately bad spelling (such as "u") and needlessly emphasized sentences, and many other people don't either. If I point this out in a friendly manner, as I have done in my opinion (please tell me if you think otherwise), other people may see it and decide not to act this way. If we have PM's going around by a mod, we're fighting symptoms, but not the disease.
 
I can't remember the link, but there was some french site of Maiden tattoos with huge Live After Death across the chest. Pretty dedicated.

There's a thread on the IMBB where Maiden fans all post pictures of their tattoos, and some of them are very impressive. If you want to compare Maiden tattoos, than that's probably a much better place to do it than here. Personally, I think they look great and would definitely consider getting one done myself in the future.
 
I really like that tattoo, but I'm not sure I'd ever have one done myself.

However, I do think some people suit them more than others; maybe that's just personal taset. Who knows?

Well, Per, I understand the reasonings why. But the problem is that you come off as pretty arrogant and high-handed when you're actually not like that at all. It's what me, SMX, and The_7th_Son get paid for. Also, public embarassment isn't always the best way to do things.
