My Maiden Covers

Hey, I'm new to this forum. I'm a huge Maiden fan! (like everyone else that comes here) [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--] As an attempt to learn how to use some new gear, I did some Maiden covers. I was wondering if I can get some feedback from true Maiden fans. I do everything myself, sing, guitar, bass, keyboards, and such. I can't really take credit for the drumming as it's a soft synth, and I used some cool midi files that I got from a fan site. I just had to edit them to make them useful to me.
I'm no Bruce Dickenson, but who else is? Let em know what you guys think. It's just my tribute to one of the greatest bands ever!

The Trooper was great too [!--emo&B)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/cool.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'cool.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

listening to the Trooper - that's actually pretty good! I like it, going to listen to the others tomorrow. Anyway, great job mate!

Thanks so much guys for listening. I was so worried that I was treading on sacred ground. Do you guys feel I did the songs justice? Any one stand out over the other?

I had fun doing these songs, as I think it made me a better guitar player and singer. I had to tune down a whole step to fit my vocal range though. Bruce is a vocal god! He's one of the greatest ever!
I did all the songs on an EMG equiped Les Paul through an "old school" Metaltronix M-1000 amp head and a 2 x 12 1936 Marshal cab for those that are interested in the "greay kids stuff".

Thanks! I found that kind of funny, as I thought I was putting to many notes in! [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/lol[1].gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'lol[1].gif\' /][!--endemo--] Your comments are well taken and much appreciated.

I don't consider myself in the same leauge as Dave and Adrian, so I just played em the best I could, trying to keep them close to the originals as posible. The Wasted Years solo is freaking difficult, so I just kind of added my own flavor.

I've been slowly converting over some people in my area to being Maiden fans with these! One kid went out and bought the whole Maiden collection on CD when I told him that these guys are my biggest influence. Unfortunately, yes they are midi drums. I use the BFD plug from FXpansion, best drum soft synth I've ever heard. But trust me, I'd love to work with a real drummer! There just is no substitue for that, I'm just stuck with midi for now.
