I don't like the voice in this clip, maybe that's what kicked be back earlier. A crying kind of a-technical voice.
 
Foro, check this out, its probably better to hear them recorded in studio before hearing a live recording. I'm not a huge fan of the video that Silky posted there actually, its sung much better at different gigs.

They take a while to get used to.  I'll admit that the version I posted isn't great, since the vocal line is changed slightly from the album version (the album version is much softer and more introspective).  I think his vocals on Spirit The Earth Aflame and A Journey's End are much better than The Gathering Wilderness, at least for accessing their sound.
