Swiss rockers PURE INC. have issued the following report from their recently completed European tour with MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG):

"It's over now! Almost four weeks of touring Europe with MSG brought ups and downs.

"The first two gigs worked out as planned, then the first problems occurred. The tour seemed to be over. Michael Schenker broke down for unknown reasons and was carried to the hospital's intensive care unit. No one knew what to do. After several hours, Michael Schenker left the hospital at his own wish, but he didn’t come far. He was on the way to the Colos-Saal (where the gig should have taken place), when he broke down again and was immediately brought to the hospital once more. Therefore the show of MSG was canceled that evening. In the end all fans got their money back and could choose to stay to watch the newcomers PURE INC. (for free) or to drive back home.

"Fortunately, 300 people chose to give the Swiss band a chance. They gave an extraordinary great performance, spontaneously extending the planned 45 minutes show (as support act) to almost two hours of pure rock, including several encores.

"As if this wouldn't have been enough: When the tour was almost over, MSG's bass player [Rev Jones] and singer [Chris Logan] got in a fight, which led the singer to leave the band. This was Gianni Pontillo's chance. The PURE INC. singer had fascinated MSG before, so he stepped in for three shows.

"In return the Swiss guys let Wayne (keys/guitars MSG) appear on stage to play 'Falling Season' with them. After Gianni made a great performance of the three MSG songs again, Sandro was asked by Mr. Schenker himself to play the solo of the last MSG song ('Rock Bottom'). What an honour, especially when you consider the reputation of this supposedly moody guy."

PURE INC.'s self-titled full-length debut was released in September through AFM Records. Produced by former CORONER/KREATOR axeman Tommy Vetterli, "Pure Inc." "demonstrates another major advance in the band's craft, blending mainstream rock with modern ferocity," according to a press release. "Gorgeous tunes highlight acute social commentary and heartfelt tales of life and love in the 21st century, projected with irresistible power and grace."
