A new Moonsorrow album will be out on 1. April. Here's an official teaser:

Doesn't tell you very much, but I'm still psyched. The last one, Varjoina Kulkemme Kuolleiden Maassa (2011), is one of my very favourite metal albums of all time. And absolutely the best folk metal album I've ever heard.

And from Moonsorrow's Facebook:

Here we have something big!
A new song Suden Tunti and it´s official music video!
"This is the shortest song we've done in more than ten years!” comments Ville Sorvali. “It has all the
elements that make it a Moonsorrow track but it's still something we hadn't done before. This is the
dark side of folk metal - the epic battle of Fenris and Odin from a new perspective."
“This is the day we never thought would come. We never thought we would release an official
Moonsorrow music video,” adds Mitja Harvilahti. “Writing music without compromises is hard enough.
Making a video that catches the same spirit without compromises and awkward moments that takes
away the credibility is even harder! We had a thought for some time that only an animated video with
enough artistic flavor would work. Since Suden Tunti is somewhat based on actual myths it was
possible to create the world where the script takes place!”
MOONSORROW’s seventh studio album "Jumalten Aika" - which means 'The Age Of Gods' in English
– will be released on April 1st, 2016 via Century Media Records. The limited edition 2CD formats
come with a strictly limited patch as well as a bonus disc including cover versions of GRAVE's
"Soulless" and ROTTING CHRIST's "Non Serviam".
"Jumalten Aika" is available for pre-order at CMDistro and EMP and will be available in the following
physical formats:
- Ltd. 2CD Mediabook & Patch - European edition
- Ltd. 2CD Digipak & Patch - US edition
- Gatefold black 2LP+CD

New album is pretty great. I always thought this band had good but not really memorable music, but they proved me wrong with this album. Album is super catchy despite super long songs and Finnish lyrics. Second part of the first song is epic as fuck.
