Yeah, but don’t people like it when Bruce sings the repetitive stuff differently? Why does Blaze get slack for doing the same?
Because Blaze isn't doing it intentionally -- they all sound different because his delivery is so inconsistent. It doesn't even sound like he's pronouncing the words the same way each time.

An interesting bit opens up this balls-out, speedy rocker of a song. The lyrics are a little weak but it's a really fun number all the same, with a lot of energy going for it. It isn't the best Maiden song outside the album, but on it, it's an integral part of the entire makeup. 7

The only up-tempo song in the album. The intro is great. Good verses, tempo and riff. The chorus is good too. Fast drumming from Nicko. The fast part before the solos is great and both solos are very good. This song is great for a single. 8/10

The first 20 seconds are magical. Unfortunately the song goes a completely different route afterwards. It's not a bad song, but I'm not 100% convinced by what we actually got. Blaze is pretty inconsistent, with the long notes before the choruses being glaring examples. It feels like they tried to tap into the more happy and positive vibes that a lot of early Maiden songs had on the first three albums, but it doesn't really work for me. The verses are fine, the chorus not so much. I like the first half of each chorus but I dislike the second half.

We get a couple of quick and dirty solos, but they don't meaningfully affect my overall opinion of the song. The lyrics and the phrasing aren't doing the song any favors either. In summary I'm going with a 5. It's fine, but nothing more.
