Maiden Voyage

I found a piece of information on the Net concerning the Maiden Voyage bootleg: Steve supposedly took the vocals, as Paul had been arrested and couldn't make it to the gig.

Now, most of us have heard this story, but does the date (7th February 1980) correspond? Does Steve actually sing on this bootleg? I haven't got it and I can't check it myself, which is why I'm asking the experts who sometimes visit this board.

I'm not sure if the date corrrepsonds, but I did have two tracks from a gig around that time when its definitely wasn't Paul singing. Obviously I'm no expert but it did sound like Steve when he does his backing vocals. I'll have a root around for it and see what I can find.

I think it's because Paul's voice was letting him down due to a flu or something so Steve takes over four of five of the songs.
