Wow!
:)

Thanks for the update, Ariana. I wasn't aware of this date but your post woke me up!

Wouldn't mind a Maidenfans meet in Holland!
I'd love to see Carcass and Sabaton again and this would be a good chance to check out Alter Bridge as well (and other bands).

I'm actually seriously considering a trip to this festival and I'm just trying to calculate how much that will cost. Which one do you think will be more convenient - flying to Amsterdam or Rotterdam?

Not sure about the flight costs, but the distances from both airports to the festivals are roughly:

Schiphol (Amsterdam): 130 km (1 and a half hour by car); 1 and a half hour by train (bus from Nijmegen station to festival area excluded)
train tickets: 19 euro single trip, 38 euro retour.

Rotterdam: 120km (1h 20 minutes by car): 2h15m by public transport (busses and train) (bus from Nijmegen station to festival area excluded)
prize (train and busses): around 19 euro 86.

(I live about 15 minutes from in R'dam Airport but am willingly to do further transport as I told ;-)

Thanks, Foro. I'll check how much the flights cost for the specific dates but from what I see flying to Amsterdam is about 100 - 130 euro cheaper.

You can also consider Eindhoven Airport or even a German airport (Weeze Airport).
Both are closer. Eindhoven, roughly 70 km Weeze: roughly 50 km.

I checked Eindhoven but there is only one flight per week from Sofia. I haven't thought of Weeze, will check now. :)

I see they announced a date in Australia .. I guess there is a slim change for a stray North American date or two ... if not, I am going to try to make it to Europe for a show (or two) ...

LOL .. thanks ... actually if I can make it, it would probably be for the show in Holland .. that is close to a US holiday on the 26th .. so a free day off for some sightseeing.

I'll hold off and see what else they announce
