Maiden reallly need to play longer sets. Follow Rush's template

An evening with Rush.

Screw the opening act. Two 1:30 sets with an intermission.

Maiden is younger too and in better shape.

I too wish they played longer sets but it's not going to happen.

And even if they did, I'm sure folks would still be mad they didn't play *insert song that's never been played live here*.

I agree with this and also about rotating the set lists every night, like Metallica does (only thing they do better than Maiden).

Since they haven't done it yet, I doubt they ever will.

But... Maiden is touring with DT, who does rotate their set list, and who have played 3-hour "Evening With" concerts in the past. Maybe some good influence on these matters can rub off from DT to Maiden.

Tour info... careful with that mouse, Eugene.
DT has already announced that they will NOT be rotating their set list in this opening slot for Maiden. But they do rotate the set when they headline.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg (Roger Waters did that)
Regarding the non-rotation of the set list, I guess Iron Maiden is a very good influence for DT  :P

Yes, it would be nice to see Maiden do 3 hour shows like Rush, but at their age and with the amount of energy they put into a show, it would be much too exhausting and tiring for them and too much singing could hurt Bruce's vocals. Now, I don't think it would hurt them to add maybe an extra 15 minutes or so to their shows, but 3 hour shows would be too much for them.
