Iron Maiden is playing in Belgrade!!!!!!! 14. march 2007. I couldn't believe it so I checked their website, just to make sure. And it's true.

Bloody amazing, tickets go on sale on 24th january,

Tell me, couse I never were on a Maiden concert before about how long before the tickets go on sale should I put my tent in front of the ticketstore to get those things.


The concert will be taking place in the Belgrade's fair arena that has the capacity of around 18 000 seats.

If anyone plans on coming, let me know.

calm down son, you are in Balkans not in Scandinavia....you just need to be there the first day that's all.......But even if you don't buy at all it's possible to find something (and even cheaper) the day of the concert in black....(hi Syl)

I'm glad to see happiness for this event in Belgrade! I was out of my mind tonight when I checked out Maiden site and saw good news finally! I saw them in Hungary 1996 with Blaze and that was all untill now (I was too young for 86, 84 not to mention 81 when they were in Belgrade). Finally my dreams come true and I'm gonna be the first in line for the tickets starting from 24th of this month. Sad thing is that Fair Exibition Centre is pretty bad place for music gigs, it has a shape of a ball and it cannot be sounded properly by any means. I am telling this because of bad experience that I've had a couple of times being there as a visitor or a player (I'm a musician)There are many other places in Belgrade that are better for this event, but what can we do about it? So, Urizen see you there!?

....Smile....I know the Serbian people don't worry.....I live in Paris, so I'll check out the train prices....I'll also check the plain prices, can you send me a PM as soon as you know the concert price ?
 
Yes Al you will see me there. I also think that maybe 'Maracana' stadium or Belgrade's arena would've been better choices, but what the hell, the important thing is they're coming.

i am so cut up i chose to visit home (serbia) in 2008 now, not 2007. with nothing here in oz, and nothing in serbia in 2008, it looks like i will once again miss the chance to see these champions. i think it was meant to be. but it sucks :(
 
No. The venue is Belgrade's Fair Indoor Arena. I've read that for a long time it's dome was the biggest in the world, or one of the biggest anyway. It is 21 500 square metres.

The one you posted is Belgrade's Arena- a newly built building which already had some performers in it, like 50 cent.

In my opinion Maiden are not sure how many people will be interested in the show. I think that there will be more than 18000 because all the Balkan and also Central European fans will be there, I guess.

I've just read that when Maiden played in this same venue in 1984, the show was so energetic that the windows on the arena shattered- this is what the fans that witnessed that show say anyway. It also said they played in front of 30 000 people, though how is this possible when the capacity is 18 000 I'm not sure. It must've been a bit crowdy. :D
