Maiden Mastermind

9/10, and only because I think the question about Eddie's first appearance is arguable. After all, the Running Free single appeared before the album, even if Eddie's face can't be seen on it.

Thanks for sharing, Albie.

Well, I have got about a half of the questions. Would it be in czech, I would have been more successful I think, but the man was talking too fast for me being able to understand :-) And I had problems to catch the last question because of the timer beeping, I think she had the same problem.

Personally, I think most of us would have got most of the questions correct - but it was the speed at which they were delivered and needed to be answered that would prevent some of us from setting a good score. The only question I did not know was the studio name in the Bahamas and given time I could have got the rest - but not in 2 minutes.

A good example of trying to answer the question quickly (and subsequently, incorrectly) was that I answered "Women in Uniform" to the "performed live on Top of the Pops" question. When I know the correct answer and have done for friggin' years.

8/10 -- guessed correctly on the Ivor Novello Award question (never heard of that), guessed wrong on the Hartlepool question (never heard of that, either) and goofed by reading question five too quickly.  I probably would have been destroyed on the live oral questions posed to Ms. Hobbs, though.

The Ivor Novello Awards, named after the Cardiff born entertainer Ivor Novello (1893-1951), are awards awarded for songwriting and composing. More info on the Awards: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivor_Novello_Awards

Myself, I do know Ivor Novello as an actor starring in two early Hitchcock films: "Downhill" (1927) and the more famous "The Lodger" (1932). More info on Ivor Novello: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivor_Novello

I had a meager 7.  I did not know Janick was from Hartepool.  The Ms. Hobbs questions were, as all said, way to fast.  Kudos to her for getting 16.

For Rachel's questions (not the online quiz), I would have missed only 3:
I forgot the order of the early bands, and would have said "Gypsy's Kiss" instead of "Smiler".
I didn't know Compass Point or Kiss - though I recognized both as being right once I heard the answer.

What do I win?

What? Nothing?!?

I knew most, but the makeshift gig, the studio question and what previous band both Harris and Bailey were in... no clue. Hey SMX! I win the same prize you do! Yay!

Well, I wouldn't know what band Bailey was in... but Blaze Bayley was in Wolfsbane! :P

Well, well, well, boys and girls...

Perfect score on the online quiz. I already was aware of the  Ivor Novello Awards (i often see the Maiden's wikipedia page).

About the show: i answered correctly some questions, but sometimes the host speaks so fast that it´s almost impossible to understand what he is saying.  :S

Now why is it that I don't believe you? Is it because of the fact that you don't even make rudimentary use of punctuation in your posts, which makes them barely intelligible and, prior to this post, led me to think that you are either from a non-English speaking country or a robot?

Nah, can't be.

It'd be cool if she was a robot! First of all that would make her "it" and not "she", so we could order her, sorry it, around without being called sexist pigs and once it's done making our breakfast and cleaning our houses we can commission it to build a spaceship that can take us to infinity and beyond! The possibilities are endless!
