Maiden is rumoured to play "Greatest Hits" tour in 2014

Does Still Life and Revelations get played much? I'd like to see that live, also Ghost of the Navigator.
I am lucky enough to have seen Revelations live twice. I'm sure it will be on the set for this Greatest Hits Tour. I hope it isn't til 2013 though, I thought they would start in summer of 2012. If they want to wait until 2013 they might as well start working on another album.

It will just be a waste of time which could be spent making a new album! Well perhaps not a waste, but I mean I would prefer a new album 12 months earlier than another world tour :)

I second this. They'd better write new songs while they last.

Iron Maiden has already payed their dues. If they do decide to release another album it'll be mind-blowingly awesome, I really want them to go out on a high note.

I could argue that maiden are at their best right now. To have one masterpiece, like AMOLAD, at their age, is amazing, but to followup with another album as strong as FF is even more amazing. They need to make more albums while they are this good.

I'd honestly prefer another studio album before another retro tour but that's just me.  Concerts are great but I still enjoy and want new Maiden songs.

I always figured the next tour would be for the insanely overdue release of Maiden England on DVD.

And folks, no sense in getting riled up on "must plays" and whatnot now, that usually just leads to disappointment.

If they're going to do another tour like this, they'll probably do it next year followed by a new album like they have been doing. Give Me Ed was followed by DOD, Early Days was followed by AMOLAD, and SBIT was followed by TFF.

...Revelations only on the "nostalgia" tours (Give Me Ed ..., Early Days and SBIT). By no means a regular song.

That's 3 tours in the past decade. I'd say the exact opposite: Revelations has been, at least in recent years, a very regular song. (It remains to be seen if that continues.)

Well, with the pattern they've been showing since BNW, that's not likely to happen. Hopefully it is in fact true that Bruce is still under contract to make some more solo albums and we'll get one of those maybe after the current tour is over. That will at least help ease the wait to a new Maiden album.

Like I said a million times before, I don't care what they play as long as they get here at some point, so if they do plan to come, it might as well be a greatest hits tour.
