Very good interview. The DoD cover is finally explained! (sort of): The artist made one cover - let's give him the benefit of the doubt and imagine it was good - but Steve Harris told him, "Make it stranger." Well, it's strange all right. Well boys, if this is right... I was right when I said this cover was made to schock and be kind of weird !

I don't actually like it that much.. it's certainly a good cover in it's own right, no doubt about it, but when compared to other classic Maiden covers like Somewhere In Time, Powerslave and Fear of the Dark.. hmm..

It's basically the Grim Reaper with Eddie's face. They could have made at least a few alterations to make it more original - like a shredded cloak or something.

your so right it was just a plain eddie face on the grim reaper. they should have put something in there that would have made it different then just eddie face a grim reaper.

good interview. and your right it is strange but it's still good.

Please select a more appropriate banner (468 pixels wide is usually quite decent).
