Oh my bad, I thought you were talking about ATG! I need to read posts better.

What is The Eagle?

There is some protest out here because it features not enough (or virtually no) slavery aspects. And of course, there are more historical inaccuracies.

It's an 8 million budget drama and action packed spectacle, focusing on that golden century, in which "we" were so mighty on the seas. Emphasis lies on the hero De Ruyter. His dilemma: brought up as Orangist, but in his work he is loyal towards the Staatsgezinde (pro-Republic) party (Johan de Witt).

We'll see him as a good seaman, an able strategist, someone who knows how to organize a fleet, but who doesn't like politics.

Charles Dance as Charles II.

I was working at home yesterday, got up to get some water. As I am walking by the living room I see 3 dogs on the couch. Problem, we only have two dogs. As I pieced together a dog (with a collar, but no tags), dug under our fence and came into the house through the dog door. Luckily he was a very friendly dog. Just weird.

I was expecting this to turn into a dream. Very bizarre.

Laughing so hard here. "One, two...three! Wait a minute. Something's not right here."

Most dogs are.

For sure ... but he was obviously lost and scared, sometimes otherwise good dogs can lash out under those circumstances.

I put down a bowl of food and water, he did not seem that hungry. Animal control came over and got him, we are going to call them today and see if the dog had a chip ... if not and no one claims him, my wife and I are seriously thinking about adopting him. He was a very nice dog, but I think we will need to put down some bricks along the fence line as he can obviously tunnel under it.

It seems odd that he did not have tags on .. beyond being illegal it is irresponsible. He clearly belonged to a family and I am picturing some kid somewhere missing his/her dog.

Animal control found the owners from a post the owners put on facebook. So much for our new dog :)
Hopefully it's a happy ending. Good to know that Animal Control does good work and really looks into things, not many entities would think to prowl Facebook.
