I like cider. It used to be my favourite a while ago, but I haven't actually drunk any for a year or so... no idea why. I never really cared for white wine though. But speaking of wine, it looks like we'll have some nice Shiraz after the Farsi exam tomorrow.

@Per, you are always welcome to drink with us in the States!  Just be wary of our beer....

'course, that is why I like my tequila!

The only drinks I avoid in any amounts are cider and white wine. I seriously can't stand either.

Can't say as I blame you there!  ...we had an outbreak of e. coli poisoning recently from poorly prepared cider; yuck!

What beer? Everything I ever drank that claimed to be American beer was dishwater!

:P

Fucking close to water, indeed.

Some useless knowledge for you now: "Beer" in Persian means "Abejou", from "ab" ("water") and "jou" ("barley"). The two words are combined with an ezafe ("e"). The Persians use "ab" for nearly every liquid, from mineral water ("abema'dani") to spittle ("abedahani"). For that matter, it can also mean "juice", as in "abesib" ("apple juice").

I'm gonna be so glad when that exam is over...

This topic should be renamed into

Let's try and drink 100,000 beers together and see if we're still able to talk

(like most other topics on this Hamster or Hackney subforum)

:D

Ha ha!!!!  ...maybe we are starting to sound like a bunch of drunks....

In other news, today marks the start of the NASCAR season... which only Deano and I care about.

 I'm sitting here, doing a bit of mixing on a song.

Here's the thing:I'm not recording through real amps but I'm recording dry through a soundcard, then adding amp modelling software as a plug-in. I have both Guitar Rig 3 and Amplitube. I find both a bit lacking in sound when used individually, so I've actually layered them on the tracks, using both Guitar Rig and Amplitube effects on the same guitar (two cloned tracks). And I need six guitar tracks. Multiply it by two and you get twelve. Then I also need drums and bass tracks. That makes 14 tracks. 13 of these use Amp Modulation software and one doesn't and all use EQ. Mind you, I haven't added any delay or reverb yet, I'll do that later.

BUT. It's too hard on my crappy computer. It laggs like hell so you can't make out any sounds which makes it impossible to mix. Aaargh. I can't get a new computer until 6 months too, so I'm stuck on this shitty dual core 1,6 ghz. ARGH.

I don't like beer and i can't stand wine. But i'm notorious for my straight-vodka capacity. And i also like pelinkovac, domestic herb-based liquor, reminescent of Jagermeister. And of course, schnaps. Any type, fruit, herb, pig, whatever.

Basically, i won't drink booze if it's below 30%.
