I know man, I've been checking out the situation in the desert. How have you been? Good to see you on the positive side of zero finally!  :)

urban adventures.... I like that.

what desert? You name it... it stretches from Africa to the Indian sub-continent.... yep.... most of that.

aaaah that area I see

I'm hoping to move to Dubai within 2 years by now; the only Arab place that makes me want to live there for a while -not only tourism

what is your grade in the army if you don't mind ?

Dubai is nice ____no5, if you haven't been there I can assure you you will enjoy it.

My grade in the Marines is E-7 (that is out of 9 possible enlisted ranks). I understand naming my branch of service the army, a lot of other nations don't have, or have a very young Marine equivalent.

ah I thought you would say surgent, captain, top sergeant or something like this... but E-7 ...I've never heard about that

the truth is that in States, army is huge so grades like 'surgent' that in small countries don't mean a thing
in States is almost huge -not to mention grades like major, colonel etc

Thanks LC! I'll dig while I can this week, we moved offices during my absence and everything is A FREAKIN' MESS in here right now. I'll have to give an Afghan update when I get a chance too.

___no5, yeah, the E-7 is the pay grade I reside in.... the rank is actually called Gunnery Sergeant here in the great USMC... some differences for E-7's in America:

U.S. Army - Sergeant First Class
U.S. Navy - Chief Petty Officer
U.S. Air Force - Master Sergeant
U.S. Coast Guard - who cares... but I'm pretty sure it's Chief Petty Officer too.  :D

By the way, my condolences for the 10 French soldiers that were killed recently in Afghanistan, that is never good.... they are great people and fight well.
