Now playing: Exodus, "Bonded By Blood".

Despite the excellent reputation attributed to both this band and this album, I have never checked them out before. I am impressed.
 
Exodus have had some good albums down the years. Fabulous Disaster is another good one (their best, in my opinion) as is one of their more recent efforts, Shovel Headed Kill Machine. Good band and worthy of the reputation.

Didn't Kirk Hammett play in Exodus before he joined Metallica?
 
Quite the coincidence there, Albie... I did listen to Fabulous Disaster right after Bonded By Blood, and I am listening to Shovel Headed Kill Machine right now.

And yes, Kirk Hammett was Exodus' first lead guitarist, and left Exodus to replace Dave Mustaine in Metallica. More information here.
 
I just found my Bonded by Blood album, along with my Maiden 12" Maxi-Singles a couple of weeks ago. I look forward to listening to it again; I just need to find my turntable at my parents house now.

Impressive work there. Just goes to show how all these Bay Area bands have become so intertwined. I must admit, I had no idea of a one Tony Scaglione having played drums with Slayer - I always thought it was Lombardo (with a small break of five or six years where Bostaph took his place).
 
I always believed that somewhere in Bonded By Blood there was the phrase 'kill them all'
I made a research yesterday but I didn't find it anywhere
 
If you're attempting to imply that Metallica's album title "Kill 'Em All" was somehow stolen from Exodus, please consider:

Kill 'Em All was released a full year before Exodus recorded Bonded By Blood, and it was even longer before the Exodus album came out.

Furthermore, Metallica has stated the origin of the "Kill 'Em All" title (on the Cliff 'Em All home video). The album was originally to be titled "Metal Up Your Ass", but the record label wouldn't allow it. So "Kill 'Em All" really means "kill all the record companies".

Or at least that's what James says on the aforementioned home video. Consider the source and take it for what it's worth.

Remember that James has been known to lie for a bit of fun. He has confessed that when someone brings him a guitar tablature book to sign, he'll sometimes say the book is wrong and mark "corrections" in it. James doesn't know if the book is right or wrong - he has said he never looks at those books. But he's more than happy to mess with a fan's mind...

ah no, not one in a million, just a far memory lost in late 80s of a friend saying me this -could it be an other Exodus album, who knows
the fact is that until yesterday, that I took the time to do the research I was completely sure about it

Absolutely not. Maiden made one reference to Metallica on a B-side, and that's it. No way that's a Metallica reference.

OK, I admit I can't read minds. Maybe it could be. Allow me to handicap the odds:

The chances of that being a Metallica reference are approximately the same as my chances of walking straight through a brick wall unharmed. Quantum physics may theoretically allow such an event to occur, but I'm not about to start walking into walls to find out.

The phrase "kill them all" was not invented by Metallica, and usage of that phrase by anyone is rarely a Metallica reference.

Ah, back from a long weekend of camping and kayaking-- I don't like going that long with out my phone, or internet or showers....I'm not a great outdoorsman... Oh, well, it was all good fun.

There was a ton of shit to read on Maidenfans!
 
Well, thats the first time I have been camping in over 10 years-- we had toilets with running water, but we didn't take showers.  Had tents, and got rained on the second nite.  I dont think I was dry for 24 hours.  I didn't bring a pillow or pad, just my sleeping bag-- never realized how hard the ground was!  The water of the river was waist deep, and crystal clear, we hunted crawdads and cooked up a few, but brought food with us to cook.  The river had a few springs that bubbled up water, that we could jump into, it was good fun!  (tho I was glad to get home and have a hot shower!)

oh, BTW, you were right on the Mac.  We bought an interface cable, and my son can plug his guitar into the Mac and use Garage Band to mix some music.  He played with it most of the way home, and has one video posted on youtube already.  He thought the 'death metal' voice effect was pretty cool.  I'll have to find you on the chat sometime and ask you some questions about it.
 
I'm a dedicated camper too  :)............I prefer it to hotels /rooms even if the later are for free
I used to do free camping but as I was growing up I sold out to the organiwed ones
 
Whatever we say about the phrase Kill 'em All and where it is or isn't referenced, it's a damn fine friggin' album. :D
