Exactly!  over the last ten years or so, I've taken the time to listen to just about anything... especially since I like girls, girls like to dance, and there's lots of jusic out there to dance to!!

And, like you said, there is lots to just listen to-- 'mood music' sometimes metal just isn't what I'm in the mood for (tho will always be my favorite)

I don't listen to metal that much anymore, and even -what I listen to is what I 've already knew : Sabbath, Metallica, Savatage etc

Few NEW metal band I've discovered after : Iced Earth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Nevermore ....awesome bands but not a lot

I know very well the period 1970 -1993 of Metal, the 90s era little things, the 00s era even less....
I would like to discover the new age though, so I need to be awake for younger people's suggestions
Raven, Yax etc

Goodnite my friend !!!

ps : Krupa & Rich is a masterpiece  ;)

I'm starting to feel better  :yey:
.........5th day under heavy medicaments, I can almost talk, no fever at all, almost no pain  :ok:
666 is not that bad after all  ;)

Thats great-- glad you are feeling better!  666 does rock!

____no5, I was just reviewing the latest page of madness and found it very interesting. You are always suggesting a lot of material that many other members have not heard of. I was wondering if you could throw up a quick list of what you consider to be the MOST essential early metal works so we can go after these gems all at once. ..... you know, since you're feeling better and all.............

Most definitely! I have received a number of good suggestions but I can't even imagine going through and remembering which threads they were in and when...

I would do something better : a new thread about these things !!

I found it interesting though as my suggestions until now got lost in the "sea of 100k madness"
but this time there is a bit more interest (you, wasted) and so yes, until the end of the day you'll see
this thread born !!

That's great! A million thanks. I wouldn't say that we aren't exposed to these types of obscure artists in America; it's just that unfortunately, metal is not as mainstream here as in Europe, at least not anymore. :(

To try and keep pace with wasted......

:) it's nice to know that at least 2 people will be interested

there is a time ago, that I had a mate in French forum "Tibobass" and we had some very nice time
discussing about music

plus we had same tastes : Maiden, Savatage, Jazz, Fusion, it was a great time !!

I don't know if he ever posted in English Forum though

edit : that's an AWESOME go up Dean :yey: :yey:

I always have a hard time posting in many forums about music, because I know what I like, but sometimes have a hard time describing why.

I'll be looking forward to your thread, tho!

my concept it will be this I think :
I will describe some small events (anecdotes)
about groups that I like

like this it will be like a fairytale and more easy to be read  ;)

it will have some you-tube liens (where possible to be found)
and generally things that may make someone have some more interest about these bands  :)
