I am hoping something in the Midwest comes open-- hoping for Chicago or St Louis.  I really don't want to make a trip to TX or NM, but I might have to.... How about yourself?
 
That is really cool!!  Some friends and I were really tempted to head out to NJ and see the show there... but we waited to long to make up our minds.

Have you seen them before?  I have seen them twice so far...
 
I saw them on the early days and the AMOLAD tours. Now I have to see them every time they come anywhere near me but I would LOVEEEE to see them at a European festival.

no fuckin way !  :lol:
though I'm very comfortable with people, I really prefer to see the less people possible when I work
I also prefer to deal with experts and not with every single ignorant of them* -which is the restaurant case

* I'm speaking for the clients of course

the restauration though, goes very well to me, maybe one day I will retourn as an owner
-but as an employee, I don't want it anymore

so, for once more, I'm moving to a completely diferent direction

I definately get your thoughts on the "clients"--- Every time that I thought I had heard the stupidest thing ever, I am always lucky enough to hear something even more stupid!

That was a great gig, Roll the Bones!  My son just found all of my old concert tee's and was wearing the Roll the Bones one-- almost forgot that I saw that...

have you ever worked in restauration ?  :blink:

in France all these relative with restauration jobs we call them, l'hôtellerie
 
No, sorry, didn't mean to imply.  I worked in 2 different motorcycle shops for a total of about 15 years... the last 3 years was in the parts department, and people just don't have a clue about anything, and will argue with you when you hand them the correct thing, cause they just don't know what they have...

My ex-wife, however, was a waitress on and off for many years, so I did get to hear many of her stories about clients.

to me it was a bit different as I was wine responsible in a wine restaurant
but same time a waitor

hell with my latino accent speaking to French about wine  :lol:
some were very suspicious in the start, but very soon they understood  B)

I LOVE it -and I can speak beautifuly about it

I used to breaking the cliché -the formal wine language, a lot -concieounsly
to make the people developpe their imagination

because the key for the wine is : imagination

after, this breaking of code helps you to developpe your sences
-you have to pass from the official code though first
as like for to be surrealistic in your drawings you have to know drawing natural forms

My method was very much appreciated by proffesional sommeliers (who did studies about wine)
and I always heard the best words for my work

I have never tried it much... many people around here make 'home made' wine, but thats not quite my taste. 

I keep thinking I should try to find a good 'winery' or some such and try it.

yeap, it's important to find a cavist, or someone that can talk to you about wine

the most important though, is the magic clic
that happens in moment when someone will intoduce you to the world of wine : THE GATES OF ITS PERCEPTION

people who know wine must be able to talk about it, to talk to the people who don't have entered its world
by being a bit poets, story tellers, never offensive to the ignorance, the other is like a child
you don't have to bless his ego -is exactly like a child

I used to have a lot of poetry books in the restaurant -some of them I let them there as a present
-some good music also helps : it's more easy to make someone discover the wine
while you make him discovering an artist or an album
 
I did find a place like that, a small restaurant, that was full of 'atmosphere' and the people in it were very kind and helpful... I think I'll go back there sometime and try some wine.  They seemed to have a pretty extensive wine list...  I think I have a friend that is what I would call a 'wine conisor' -- I'll ask him along.
 
in the wine, everybody has his "master" -the one that introduced him to its world
maybe this friend it could be yours,
and this small restaurant it seems to me the perfect place for your study
