Priest rocked. Megadeth... I guess they disappointed me, although my expectations weren't all too high. I mean, they were very good, but they didn't blow me away.
Testament were cool, but didn't blow me away either.

Priest played
Devil's Child and Angel!

That is so awesome-- I'd love to see Priest.  I'd like to see Megadeth, just to compare how they sound live now vs 88.... they were really bad in 88.

Still, Priest-- i just gotta say wow to that.  First Priest I ever heard, what I 'cut my teeth' on, was Turbo.  I never looked for any more Priest till I got Ram It Down... then I knew what people meant when they said Priest rocked.

Per, I'm jealous.

Well....?

In reference to the story thus far?  I like it.  I think it is well written, it enthralls the reader, and makes me want to come back for more.  I'd say that you have done a good job of finding reality to back up fiction-- and that is something that I appreciate: the point at which it is difficult to discern where the real history leaves off, and the fiction begins.  Now, I am not a writer-- I'd love to, but so far not so good.  I'll pm you some thoughts when I have a moment to, if that is cool--I have read some sites/preachings from editors and writers, if you are interested.

Yep, read it all the way through.  I went ahead and re-started from the beginning, just so I knew where I was at.  I dropped you a pm, read at your leisure!

I'm off to bed... gotta go and stock the shelves or something in the morning  (ha ha)

Thanks bud, appreciate it!

Hey, if anyone else wants to read what I write, please say so.  I want feedback from all's y'all.

I saw Megadeth in '89 or '90 with Slayer, Testament and Suicidal Tendencies and I went to this gig thinking this has to be the greatest gig ever as I rate all four bands. However, I left thinking Dave Mustaine was a complete arsehole and stopped listening to them!

The other three were bloody good that night though.

I saw Megadeth in 1999 opening for Maiden and Testament on the Dynamo festival in 2000, where (again) Maiden headlined.

I wasn't blown away either, but if I have to choose, I liked Testament better. More enthusiasm.

Ah, yes.  That was my deal with Megadeth as well.  Saw them open for Maiden, and I thought they were trash-- I didn't listen to another tune of theirs until my bro-in-law had it playing in the truck one day.  Studio albums are fine, sounds like live they aren't any better.

That's part of Megadeth's appeal I think. You'd be an arsehole too if you left a great band, formed an even better band and watched your whole career as the lesser band always received more accolades.

Send it pawt'ner.... although I'll have to interupt reading Paul of Dune to read it, I'll certainly do it.

I can dig that-- tho, I think that the people that really follow his music know that his whole career wasn't the first Metallica album.  He has really become a great artist, IMO.  I prefer to listen to anythin by Megadeth over the last few Metallica albums.

Yeah, I'm in the select cult that prefers to listen to practically anything Megadeth over anything Metallica.

What do we have in store for the weekend Wasted? Vegas? I guess I'll watch it. So are you out now for the great Maiden field trip of April '09?

I am out.  I haven't sold my mini-bike or atv, plus I am owing in taxes this year  --- so, I hafta bail for shortage of fundage.  :(

This weekend, my buddy from CA came back, so I'm taking my kids over to see him and his kids.  Then, yeah, I'll prob watch Vegas, if I can't find a Antique Road Show Marathon  ha ha-- just kidding, I'll watch it.

Antique Road Show can actually be slightly interesting at times. I watched Wraiths of Roanoke on Chiller last night. Damn, I'm kind of sorry I did. That sucks you won't make the show. I'm sure I'll have plenty of drunken raving to do about it immediately afterwards (or immediatley after the bars after the show).  :yey:
