So what's the daylight hours currently EW? Like 10 AM to 3 PM? Here, currently, it is roughly 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

More precisely it's 9:50 to 14:34 here. But since there are some hills to the southwest of the city, we just barely see the sun - it's just crawling over the treetops these days.

There is a place called Rjukan further south in Norway where they don't see the sun at all during the months October-March. Since it's further south, the days are longer than here during winter. However, this place is located in a valley pointing from east to west. And on the south side they have a quite tall mountain ... at least tall compared to the surroundings. The local authorities have been discussing building a large mirror in the north side of the valley to reflect the sunlight into the valley during winter

Oh, it's good. Great story and special effects. I know people stroke Heath Ledger like crazy because of his death with his Joker performance but it is incredible. I never thought I would think anyone would do it better than Jack Nicholson but he did.
