I blame SMX.  And I guess someone has to protect the Pentagon from the evils of self-assigned IP addresses on a Saturday night.

True, but I'm currently in Houston....

Wasted, you rock! I'm now drinking Sierra Nevada..... pleasure has now officially replaced business.  :D

Not a bad beer; I'm drinking some Goose Island (summertime ale).

Houston, I hear that can be some fun!  Glad its all pleasure time for you!

Thanks, I'm currently on the 30th floor of the downtown Hyatt.... quite a view, I'm going to step downstairs for a spell to see the "view" down there and have a smoke. I'll be back.

The trouble with this time of year is that (aside from odd test cricket match), good sport on the TV is almost non existent. Bring on the footie season.

Cool, then we are all in agreement!  LC, I know what Deano likes to drink; what beer do you like to drink?

Dunno, whatever's in the fridge?  Keith's is good, the occasional Blue or Olands.  Right now there is Moosehead in the fridge, which is alright.

I will say, though, I die a little inside everytime I watch someone leave the NSLC with a case of Bud or Coors.

There happens to be a major golf tournament going on in your country at this very moment ... doesn't that count?

I'm heading off to watch it now, in fact. I don't watch golf on TV very often, but this year's British Open has turned into something very interesting.

At the end of the third round yesterday, Greg Norman was in the lead. If he wins, he'll be the oldest winner of a major golf tournament ever (age 53). He's been semi-retired for several years (at least 3), and hasn't been a high-level competitor in more like 10 years. This is almost like watching a zombie walk out of his grave and demolish the living. Stuff like this just isn't supposed to happen in sports. Old retired men aren't supposed to walk onto the field and beat the young 'uns.

Trouble I have with golf is just that it is as dull as dish water to watch. Yes, the BBC is doing a blanket coverage of this, but it does not really appeal to me.

I'd rather they spent the dosh getting the cricket back from Rupert Murdoch!

No Deano?  No wasted?

I just want to note that the North American Maidenfans Contingent is getting stronger.  We now have:
LooseCannon, SinisterMinisterX, wasted155, Deano, Onhell permanent;
And we get Natalie 8 months of the year.
And Genghis Khan, of course.

I have been 'out and about' today.  Family in town, spent the morn with them, then had free tickets to a AAA Baseball game, so I took my youngest daughter and her friend to it... I sat and ate peanuts while they ran up and down the stairs.  I'm back home and ready to grill some meat!

@LC, I know what you mean about Bud and Coors (way nasty, that is).  I hate going to 'group' things, when you are supposed to bring beer and everyone shares.  I don't mind sharing my stuff, but I hate it when I go to grab a beer and the only thing left is Miller Lite.

Can't stand it all.  Do you have MGD in the USA?

Also....Lemmy says it's Time To Play The Game......

Yeah, MGD is here, and it was one of the first beers I ever drank.  Then I went on a span of many years drinking various American 'light' beers.  I now can't stand to waste my time even opening a beer such as that.  One of the few 'mass made' American beers that I'll drink is Michelob's Amber Boch, its not too horrible.

Lemmy speaks, I listen! (question asked)

I understand that motorcycle racing can be pretty big over in that part of the world.  You could always give that a shot.

Wow.  I've read some really weird stuff, especially by Onhell, but this takes the cake!

You understand correctly, but I don't really like motor sport in general. Also Tour de France is getting a lot of coverage - but again, I don't find cycling that interesting.

Team sports played on a pitch is my thing. :D

I also quite enjoy the Olympics - especially track and field. That's something to look forward to.
