Ok, so admission time, I really thought I knew the lyrics, and I thought "I had better check to make sure I do know"... so I googled the lyrics, and the first couple I found said "inform the lord", and I thougth "after all these years, I have heard it wrong!".

So, after reading your post, I double-double checked, and I see that I was completely right the first time-- so, memory beats google!!
(and I'm off to edit my incorrect quotation)
