Well the movie is porn, typically Hollywood. It's got nothing to do with the planes or Top Gun.

Hollywood wasn't always porn. The 'old Hollywood' was all about quality dialogue and ethics. Take Casablanca for instance. Top Hollywood & Top quality. One of the many.
Then you had the so called New Hollywood initially with masterpieces such as Bonnie & Clyde or Easy Rider and Godfather, but also Jaws and later Star Wars leading to tons of low quality films eventually. I've read that the turning point was the appearance of Lucas /Spielberg.

I liked the French movie with some Rafale/Mirage squad? Early 2000s. Way more of those 'planes and stuff', as opposed to using them as props and vehicles to describe how hot the hotshot is. Pretty gay from day 0 if you ask me, the Top Gun thing.

Les chevaliers du ciel? SKY FIGHTERS?

That's the one!

Hollywood was good back in the day.

Apart from the classics I personally loved medium-production (as in terms of cost, play and actors) movies usually depicting a family living somewhere in the wild, in the mountains. Often something would happen, so the child and his dog/pet would go out to the adventure. Adventure could be simple as the father breaking his leg somewhere out and about, so they're all just trying to get home. Great nature shots everywhere, great depiction of the life.

Back from the national aerobatics championship where I didn't do bad at all. Flew the known program twice without any big mistakes. Most importantly, I beat the one club-mate who was competing in the Sportsman class :D In the end, when the two Danish guest participants who also finished ahead of me were removed from the official ranking, I finished 3rd  Next year I will have the time to prepare even better, so who knows what can happen then?

The Advanced class competition was of course fun to watch, although it was reduced from 9 pilots to only 4 (!) when LN-ACN (an Extra 230) suffered a cylinder failure on the last training day. 5 pilots were supposed to compete in that plane ... The remaining four put on great displays and I realize that the difference in skill required to fly the Sportsman program vs the Advanced is massive. Plus, of course, in the Advanced class one needs to fly a more powerful aircraft. Number 1 and 2 in this class both flew an Extra EA 300S.

Thanks for the advice, I find games very useful so I went ahead and bought it. This vacation gonna be goooooos.
I hope you got at least a PS4 Pro, because Sony is probably only going to require developers to support the 2 most recent iterations of hardware going forward. Or if you’re content with just the PS4 library, I guess that’s fine.

So, do pro guitar (etc) players change strings every gig? I assumed they do but the waste element just occured to me. Does the industry give a fuck? Is there a string recycling element? I play guitar and have never thought about re-using strings, is it possible?
It just occured to me because I was watchin some Nanci Griffiths (gods rest her) and the brightness of her guitar struck me.
Thanks in advance, I hope you are well, I sliced a kiwi several hours ago and I am yet to eat it.

I just subscribed to Sweden Rock Magazine's digital edition, which includes a fair share of archived issues. They interviewed Bruce in 2018, after his book was released. Apparently they always record their rehearsals with a simple, portable recorder. Bruce has the tapes from the Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind rehearsals at home.... Apparently he invited the guys from Wheetus, who are huge Iron Maiden fans over and they got to hear the tapes, around the time of their hit Teenage Dirtbag.

Edit: Apparently Bruce's cancer treatment resulted in loss of taste, particularly sugar. Bruce can't taste sugar at all (and subsequently most fruit tastes like shit), but can make out some taste out of chocolate.
