I'm on to "Wish You Were Here"

This is one of those songs that makes me feel 'wistful'... This pops into my head lots of times when I'm missing my girl-- you know, one of those songs that 'speaks' to me.

I like the guitar in it-- its a nice 'clean' sound, and easy to just kick back with.  This album is what most live albums wish they were!!

Great minds think alike!!

he he now a really great number : wish you were here

there are some legends about that songs, people who played while Roger Waters was somewhere there
correcting them

the player to say : -wait a minute, who are you to say to me how to play ?
RW                    : -do as you like man, but *I* wrote it !

LOL I have heard that story from 3 different sources -and for 3 different places

it was about *time*

Time, ___no5, is a superb song. And lyrics so meaningful when you are, ahem, no longer a teenager.

why you say that ?? they once hurted you when you were teen ??
....hmmmm this "run rabbit run" can be a bit painfull it's true

wish you were here just finished, no "us and them"
I like that one, really mesmerizing number, with that killing bridge
I love where is placed in the DSOTM album -and here too

That is a good tune, I'm on to Money--  Its just a good fun song.  Maybe not one of the 'deeper' tunes they wrote, but is always good to have on.

What I mean is lyrics like:

Then one day you find, ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

and

and you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking

I'm still on us and them

I was thinking how well fits this part II of the album with the mood of the thread right now

...spirits have calmed down, more melancholic more slow, and yet more mature
yeah, now, it comes money

to reproduce this sound Waters put some coins in his wife cooking mixer

Ha, you know, its kinda like sex-- sometimes I'm in the mood for 'fast and frisky' and other times, nice and easy, -- as you put it, more slow and mature.  Floyd is great sex music!!!

...while in the middle of Money :

great choise wasted !! it really goes perfect to the mood right now
I like a lot that live version of Money (not my best from the dark side, too)

Floyd is great sex music!!!

it's since the high school that I didn't had sex while listenning to Floyd
...yet, I think of a particular parthner for "sex with floyd"

where is she now ??

Wall pt 2 just came on--- I so love this song, and I couldn't even tell you why.  Maybe its because when I was in high school, listening to this, it really said something to me--'no dark sarcasim in the class room'.  My oldest daughter wanted to do a lip sync to this at her catholic school talent show-- the school said 'no thanks'.

When its 'that lucky day', I'll usually load my iPod with Mellenkamp, Floyd, Journey and Sammy Hagar-- it seems to work pretty well!

yeah some classic stuff : we don't need no education

Floyd is the adolescence of every one

I think you are right... I don't find too many people that dont like Floyd-- maybe not all, but, at least some of it.

Now: Comfortably Numb-- that, to me, is the ultimate 'chill out and enjoy the night' tune!  I remember coming home one night from a long day at work, puting this on the stereo with no lights but the equalizer at work... just sitting and drinking a little to unwind.  Everything about this song is great, the music, the lyrics, the mood-- Wow, I had forgotten how much I like this whole disc!

I'm there too  ;) by the way, very nice this "together" listenning  :ok:

I like very much these double vocals in the start

in the case that you didn't know, Numb is fighting Stairway to heaven for Best Solo Ever
during journalist votes

so sometimes we find it first rated, someothers second

whatever it is, is a GREAT song and an ABSOLUTE solo

Yeah, it is fun!!  I did skip a couple of songs (sorry), but its fun to listen and talk about it with someone that digs it!

I just got 'Run Like Hell'-- which is great fun!!  I have friend that spent all summer getting ready for a Marathon, and finally got it done-- one of the items you get is a necklace and they will engrave it for you-- she had 'Run Like Hell' put on it.... This is a nice, quicker beat that kind of gets me in the mood to speed up a little when doing something.

Ding, Ding Ding!

Wasted, you win the Double Jeopardy round. Congratulations!
