A great live album and one of my favorite Pink Floyd covers.

That is cool!  I've got Delicate Sound of Thunder, love that!  I'll have to check out the one you have there...

'Floyd was playing not too far from my place, when I was 14-15, and I didn't know about it till it was over... they played for something like 4 hours-- my buddies girlfriend was gonna go, but didn't know any one liked them, so never asked either of us...

LC will probably kill me for saying this, but stick with your pc. I feel that a macbook is for those who understand technology and want to do advanced stuff...pc is for dummies like me who want to play music, check their email, write some essays, watch some videos, and play the occasional Age of Empires :).
:lol:have you seen the tv ads for macs? I guess they got something wrong :P

Yeah, Hozz, I thought they were supposed to be pretty good for all the odds and ends stuff.  I've never played with one, tho.

@Natalie, thanks for the tip!  I was checking on that over on Amazon after you posted that!

I have an old Powermac G4, but it's too slow for any real use. It has trouble even playing youtube videos. I have played around with newer macs (macbooks in particular), and while they do take a while to get used to if you're coming from a PC, they really _are_ simpler - so simple, in fact, that I often overcomplicate things by looking for them in places where I'd expect them to be hidden in windows, when they've been right there under my nose the whole time.

Glad to be of assistance!

@Hozz: Nope, I haven't seen the ad.

And finally, a more modern but no less brilliant band:

I dig the part of not playing you tube videos!  I have an old computer that i let my son use, and it is super slow!!  I'm fighting it right now, actually.

The laptop I use right now is leased thru my work, but I'd like to own my own.  I have a techie bro-in-law that loves the new toshiba, and a sis-in-law that thinks the mac is 'the bomb'.  I just need to stop by somewhere and mess around with a few of them, see what its all about.

Thanks for the tips!

Well there you have it (unless the sis-in-law is a techie as well). PCs are for geeks (or you'll need to know one when they break), macs are for average joes. At least that's what the ads tell us. Gotta believe the ads.

I have 2 PCs, a mac, and 2 laptops, but the only one that's worth doing anything on is the one I'm on now. I should throw some of all that old shit out, but they're all so full of precious memories  :blush:

edit: That's a lotta "on"s in one sentence  :blink:

See ya round!

Natalie, I'm off for a while too-- I'll check back in later see if you got any more posting done...

Have a great eve!  :yey:
