If that is his wedding ring, he is either adopting the European finger for the ring or the picture is mirror imaged.
 
I asked that question back when I joined here why they wear their wedding band on the right hand!

Is it not the case that some Europeans wear their wedding ring on their right hand - or have I been misinformed?

Yes, we Brits are European - but we do tend to say Europe to mean mainland Europe - if you see what I mean.
