I've seen all of them except the Rush one, but I'm in the mood for any. All of them are recent gifts except Mindcrime at the Moore.

Mindcrime at the Moore isn't to bad, especially that first half. But when Mindcrime 2 comes I could really care less. I really want to get Livecrime.

I still need to pick up the new DT and Rush DVDs.

Travis is right, Livecrime is awesome, the Moore concert kinda sucks.

The Dream Theater DVD is amazing! Whatever the cost is, it worth it. The concert lasts a good 3 hours.

I'll definitely be getting it ASAP. I love DT's DVDs because they usually do a good job making the setlist different for each one. This one should be extra special because of ADTOE. I really want to hear that album without drums so low in the mix too, so I'm looking forward to that.

Well they're definitely nice and loud on this one. Mike also does an amazing job with all the songs live. His drum solo.. is just wow!

Well that's good, I like my drums loud. A lot of people criticized MP for having his drums too high in the mix, but I loved it. Didn't distract me from the other instruments and packed the right amount of punch. The new album has an amazing drum sound though.

Yeah I love the new albums mix. It's really been growing on me, I still don't really like The Looking Glass, Along For The Ride, and Illumination Theory. But the rest is really good, especially The Bigger Picture. If A Dramatic Turn of Events had drums as loud as the new album then it would be my favorite Dream Theater album.

Edit: I just looked at the back of the case for Live at Luna Park, at the run time is 300 minutes! That's just awesome!

Along For the Ride is the only song I don't like. I mostly like the cinematic nature of the album and the lack of noodly instrumental sections. The ambient parts are really cool too. One of ADTOE's biggest flaws was the seemingly pointless instrumental bits.

Pointless instrumentals? I can kind of see the one on Lost Not Forgotten, but what other ones?

Bridges In the Sky (awesome song otherwise) and Outcry (although it's pretty fun to play). I like technical instrumental things, but it seemed tacked on a lot of the time during ADTOE. It's a good album, but I could've lived without the noodling.

I love the Bridges in the Sky instrumental section. It feels like the climax of the album, there's so much power behind it. I see what you mean about on Outcry. There is a lot of pointlessness there but it sounds pretty cool. However I hate that small instrumental on Beneath the Surface. What was Jordan thinking? Breaking All Illusions is a great example of a perfect instrumental section.

Oh yea I totally forgot about that stupid synth solo in Beneath the Surface. It almost ruins an otherwise great song. Easily the most out of place thing on the entire album.

Breaking All Illusions works because it doesn't get overly technical and it actually builds into the next section. Outcry does this too, but everything before the climax kinda lacks focus.

I agree with everything you just said. I do think that the new album needed more of these instrumental sections. I think the songs should have been more similar to the ones on ADToE.

I'm currently watching Rush's new DVD and Headlong Flight is frickin' amazing!

Well I'm glad that the new album doesn't sound anything like ADToE. I don't want them to make the same album twice.

The Rush DVD is another I need to check out. Wasn't able to make that tour :(

I guess I have a soft spot for that album as it was the first one I listened to in full. I was disappointed because there was nothing that really stood out like Breaking All Illusions or Bridges in the Sky. But the Bigger Picture is getting up there.

So far I'm enjoying the DVD, I personally think that Live at Luna park is better. It's mainly because I know the songs better and the crowd. They just seem dead here, they only really react when there's some sort of pyro like on Far Cry or when Neil Peart does a drum solo.

Oh that's kinda lame, the Snakes & Arrow DVD is like that too. Although I suppose it's a little unfair to compare it to a South American audience. Though Clockwork Angel is another album I'm looking forward to having live versions of, since the album gives me a headache, which makes me not listen to it as much as I'd like. It's a top 5 album really.
