Speaking of winter sports, I woke up to a big snowstorm; it's still snowing too! Maybe no school tomorrow.. :D

For the third straight year, it didn't snow here in the city centre in winter. I remember the days when we played snowball, couldn't go to school and our feet disappeared in the snow.

Fucking global warming.

Congrats Foro!

I just discovered that it is Oscars night tonight  Should I stay up and watch it or give it a miss  or maybe attend an event, there's lots happening just can't be arsed to leave my home :p

Anyone watching it?

As much as I don't want to, I'll probably end up watching them. I always get stuck watching these pointless award shows. :P Though, my Oscar watching will have to wait till I'm done watching The Walking Dead unless I watch part of them before then the rest after.

Oh gee, I meant pointless in the way that I really don't care all to much about them but I'll still watch them I'm sure. :p I am curious as to what movies will win. There really isn't any movies in particular I'm going for this time around.

It starts in about an hour right? Well I don't even know one nominee. As I said it came as a total surprise it was tonight! Even if I think most of the Oscars is some bull crap. Who really cares about Oscar statuettes and when did they become a seal of quality? It is in reality just a handful of people (whom nobody knows) who've decided one movie is better than another - they might just as well have rolled a dice. Overall the Oscars is just the film industry padding themselves on the back and generating PR for themselves but maybe I'll watch it anyways for the embarrassing speeches and the solemnity and glamor of it all :p

It starts at like 8:30 pm. It's only 4:15 pm here. I definitely see what you mean. It's all just a big popularity contest of who's better and all that fun stuff and I really could careless but for whatever reason, award shows of any type (except maybe for Tony awards which are for broadway I think)become my guilty pleasure and I always end upwatching them. ::) And sometimes, my girly side takes over because I want to see what dresses and outfits the girls wear. :P

Oh shit..right so..the show actually doesn't start until 02:30 my time. All the other stuff before it is just people arriving, waving at cameras and stuff :p Yeah there is some magnetism to them even if you know what kinda shows they are. Never heard of "The Tony Award" it also sounds kinda bad :D

 Yes, we're 6 hours apart (I'll never figure out where you are :P) so it would be 2:30 am your time. All the stuff before that is just all the interviews and "Who do you think will win?" and nice outfits.

Oh and here is some info the Tony Awards: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_awards. Overall, yes, it's bad and boring. Unless you like broadway shows of course (not this girl :D).
