To his webcam, every man is an internet superstar, hence the popularity of webcams. After all, what else could be more gratifying for one's ego to post a video proclaiming "hurr hurr im bettur than j00 cuz ur liek n00bs and sutff", and watch with glee and the amount of views increases by the hour?

Snakes get bad rep, as well.  A minority of them are actually venomous.  As for spiders, I've always liked them.
